Declaration of conformity

Declaration of conformity — a document in which the manufacturer certifies that the products it supplies meet the requirements of regulatory documents.

The differences between the Declaration of conformity and the certificate of conformity are as follows:

• A Declaration of compliance is mandatory for products specified in the list of Technical Regulations. You cannot issue a Declaration of conformity for products that are not listed in the “Unified list of products whose conformity is confirmed in the form of a Declaration of conformity”.
  There is no standard form for declaring product conformity. The Declaration of conformity is drawn up on a sheet of A4 format and certified by the seal of the applicant organization. There is already a certain form for certification and Declaration.
• The applicant organization is responsible for the information specified in the Declaration of conformity, while the certification body that issued the certificate is responsible for the information specified in the certificate of conformity (both mandatory and voluntary).

Products subject to Declaration of conformity are specified in the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 982 ” on approval of the unified list of products whose conformity is confirmed in the form of a Declaration of conformity».

Products subject to Declaration of conformity within the customs Union are specified in the document ” Unified list of products subject to mandatory assessment (confirmation) of compliance within the Customs Union with the issuance of unified documents”.
